I'm a Tiny!

Yep! I became very intrigued after reading this post and this post. I thought it would be refreshing to take on this avatar form, as it's kind of a departure from fashion, social mores (whatever that means in SL) and the like. And I thought of all the bloggers who have talked about taking a break from SL or that SL has become stagnant for them. I say, be a Tiny! I knew it was a subculture in it's own right, but what I didn't realize is how developed the culture was. I found Tiny animations, clothes, furniture, gadgets and huds all found on dedicated Tiny sims where I could play Tiny games. I started out at Raglan Shire, which is a *great* beginning for anyone exploring the Tiny world. Another benefit is that the cost of living is lower for a Tiny. My smart looking pink pullover was 65L. Furniture was all less then 100L per piece, most that I saw was half that. Shoes, hats, t-shirts, dresses...when not found free they were usually 65L or less. I started my alternate Tiny account with 1000L. I bought my Tiny avatar, a pullover, an AO hud, and played some games, and I still have almost 300L left. Before the ZHAO days, a good AO hud would cost over 1000L easy. And a head to toe avatar will cost anywhere from 2000-3000L. So, roughly 4500L for the human avatar equivalent. It's definitely an affordable break from monotony. I should mention, Raglan Shire has the cutest arcade with a ticket system like Chuck E Cheese. I'm goin' back to play Phrase Invaders now...
