Can I have $L100?

I was at Armidi today and Amber19 Soandso IM's me this: "I know this is a stupid question, but do you have $L100 I can have?". Here we go again... another money request. But for some reason, I'm such a SUCKER for this! I hand it over. She then thanked me and was off. We were all newbs once, but I *never* asked for money. Ever. I just would never do that. But *I* get asked all the damn time! Sometimes I think it says in my profile somewhere "Bank of Krissy".

On the flip-side of the money hand-outs, here is something that I love: Recently while visiting Cupcakes I heard three avi's ooh-ing and aww-ing over the dresses and making plans to go camp and come back. They needed more lindens before they could purchase anything. Granted there are many ways one with no scripting or bulding talent can still earn a decent SLiving, but I don't begrudge anyone for their choices. I transferred them each $L100 and they were SO excited, I got IM's immediately from them, and they all walked out with their new dresses on. So I felt good. I look at it like this: $100 is approximately 40 cents in US dollars. I would happily give anyone 40 cents for the vending machine and still not get a fraction of the satisfaction I got when I gave each of those girls 100 lindens.

Does anyone relate? I'm sure we've all been asked for money at some point. Is anyone the pushover that I am and almost always give it?
