Letting go...

Mah!! I prepared a post and then saved it. I wanted to look for a picture next time I was in world to include. Never happened. I forgot about the post, and forgot about the picture. Still though, I want to say my piece:

If you've heard the rumors, you already know that Linden Lifestyles is shutting down. If you haven't heard, you can read it here. In homage, I thought I'd take a little trip down memory lane.

I'm really unsure how I happened upon this blog, only that I had already discovered my passion for playing dress-up in SL. Early '07 was a time for LOTS of bling, pleated mini-skirts and the Sexy Walk. And then I found Linden Lifestyles and they *preached* couture, and ranted about bling. In my favorite Linden Lifestyles post, I found a black slip dress that made me (as LL puts it) squee... I bought the cute red shoes to go with it, exactly as pictured. (I also wore a silly blingy cross necklace with it, but hey! I wasn't perfect!) This is what I did.... If they blogged it, I bought it. Although I've since moved on to SL Fashion Diva, reading LL is like coming home. I hope that all new residents have the fortune of learning a good eye for the details, as Linden Lifestyles did for me.
