The Dresden Gallery in Second Life

I love museums in SL as much as I love them in RL, and I've been to quite a few in both worlds. But when I arrived at the Dresden Gallery in SL, I knew instantly this was something special. The Dresden Gallery embodies all the reasons that I love Second Life. Art, technology, stellar textures, build, details, immersion.... I could go on. Upon arriving, it took me a moment to realize the magnitude of this place. It's huge. It is a replica of the Old Masters Picture Gallery in Dresden Germany. Rembrandts, Raphaels and other famous European works of art are here for you to enjoy. After everything completely rezzes, it becomes very clear how hi-res these pictures are. Clicking on each picture will display a simple notecard with the pictures's name, artist, time period and canvas size. Whether you are a fine art lover or you just appreciate fanstastic SL builds that took hours and hours to perfect, you will be amazed.

Looking down a corridor.

And peering out a window.

Amazed at the high resolution of the pictures...

Another example of the perfect textures? Cam up and look at the ceilings...
