Las Islas Republic

I've been having fun recently strolling through Las Islas Republic, which spans 5 sims. This is a place that really matches Costa Rica Sims in it's overall beauty. The builder, Naiman Broome, is one of those rare gems that I consider to be the complete package. He has the combination of being A+ at everything: Building, design, terraforming, and texture. He also happens to be the original creater of new hyperrealistic waves, which can be seen not only throughout Las Islas Republic, but also Costa Rica Sims. In fact, one of the sims at Las Islas Republic is nothing but ocean and these beautiful waves. It's this sim that seperates Las Lagunas which contains rentals and many common areas, and Las Arenas Rosadas, a nature preserve/forest. Las Arenas Rosadas is a great place to take another one for some romance and privacy. The mini map showed me a dozen green balls, but they were so carefully hidden I didn't see many of them. Points for privacy. Naiman had given me an invitation to the grand opening party, which turned out to be a menu driven kiosk. When clicked, it offers the choice of many different landing points. I love it, it's an invitation that I'll keep using. These kiosks are also located throughout Las Islas Republic. If you visit, you will want to wear something tropical or perhaps a swimsuit, as I really doubt you can resist the opportunity for pictures. Enjoy it!

Rooms were available for rent in this structure... great for parties or receptions.

Behind me is the fashion runway.

Gerry, Cate and I taking a break.
Now where is Gerry?

He found a place for us to wet our whistle, and so we proceeded to belly up. Cate is mixing my Sex-on-the-Beach.
After that, I wander around until I discover a place to sit and meditate. And ignoring the fact that it's Valentine's Day and the chair beside me is empty. ;)
And feed the swans.

Sitting at the end of the pier on Las Arenas Rosadas.
Las Arenas Rosadas is a beautiful "undeveloped" piece of nature. This was just after the grand opening party where the attire was swimwear. But check out the amazing shading on that skin. Nobody beats Obscene skins at cleavage, imo.

And at the end of the day, fireworks were visible from the marina. I'm not sure if this is a nightly ritual for Las Islas Republic, or just in celebration of the grand opening. Myself and Alec, whose last name I can't remember, and who rescued me out of a phantom/bad prim via teleport, watched as they lit up the sky.
