With bittersweet excitement I worked my RL schedule around the new sim launch of Tableau. As you probably already know, about three weeks ago Tableau was destroyed by a herd of hamsters. And so I, and many others, waited for the announcement that it would re-open, which it did this past Saturday. I've said it before, Tableau has always been Number One on my list of favorite things about Second Life. And well... I guess I'm a little resistant to change and had fear that the reincarnation wouldn't live up. And I admit, the first couple visits left me mildly impressed. But after about the third visit, I began to notice the fun and quirky details that I had known and loved. So much of the fun is hidden behind dark corners and off the beaten path. I laughed out loud when I found a "Post Secrets" forest. And the well-hidden underground cafe and store reminded me of the underground hang-out in the old cemetery. But can I say one thing? What's up with the Rootbeer store? It looks like something from the mainland if you ask me. Like when sim neighbors fight because they destroy each other's vista. A gift wrapped house hanging over the cliff by balloons? Bleh. Anyway. Tableau still reflects the quality that we expect from Toast Bard, Nylon Pinkney and the others. I can now say that I love the new Tableau like I loved the old one. Happy day. :)

The Nylon Outfitters store is *beautiful* on every side. Those textures are amazing. My favorite structure at Tableau.

The wonky steeple in the background belongs to Paper Couture.

6I can *hear (thanks Monique) it now: This is for all you Krissy Mugglestons out there who will miss Cafe du Croc: Tableau presents the Lunar Lounge...
