Yes, I found it ironic that this sim name is Error. But I can tell you, this sim is no error. GutterBlood Spoonhammer is the creator of this amazing place, and he built everything. Every last tree is his creation. Here's another candidate for "Best of SL Sculpty Artist". (If there's even such a thing as "Best of".) Anyway. My initial visit made me think that GutterBlood's message was an environmental one. I saw the abandoned oil barrels and 5 gallon paint buckets strown about and imagined that this was once a beautiful paradise marred by the existance of hazardous waste. But it seems the true message is much more simple. He wanted to create a place that was a resource-friendly environment with very little script time and low lag, despite building everything almost entirely of sculpted prims. And because he loves the cold european oceanic areas he wanted to recreate this atmosphere on Error. He explained to me that the oil barrels are a statement of industrialization, and no matter how we develop as a race, everything is still from earth. I was so stuck on my own "environmental" interpretation of his message that I had a difficult time letting it go and just accepting the simplicity of his vision. After chatting with my friend Elizabeth about it, who (like me) studied art in college, I was able to let go of my own conceptions and realize that, in the words of GutterBlood, its "not too deep of a concept I don't think". In the end, it's really not.
And if none of that interests you, go to Error to play with your Windlight settings. It's great.
Happy day!
