What is my perfect day in Second Life? Well funny you should ask Miss Alicia, organizer of the Big Bad Blogger Challenge 2009! I only just enjoyed a weekend of pampering and relaxation at the wonderful and beautiful Dorian Day Spa and highly recommend it! My weekend started out with a mani/pedi, at the hands of the skillful Gertie Packbiers. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel welcome and comfy. My appointment began as I chose my nail color, and Gertie washed her hands, before showing me to my seat. The mani/pedi took about 45 minutes and included a wonderful hand massage and foot massage. Gertie stayed in RP the entire time despite our chats about furniture (Dorian is largely furnished by The Loft), and whatever else popped up in conversation.
Here I am, wearing the complimentary pedicure slippers while my toenails dried.
Admiring my new pedicure. Actually, the funny story about these shoes is that I purchased them not knowing they had prim toes, which I had never owned. As they rezzed on my feet I was shocked and surprised to see them, and immediately fell in love. :) These are from COCO.
On Sunday I returned for a back and shoulder massage. Gertie again was my attendant/massage therapist. We walked to a nearby cabin where I was offered a robe to change into. After taking my position on the massage table, Gertie went to work.
[13:15] Gertie Packbiers notices knots in your right shoulder and lower left back.. I'll work on these two areas specifically today, Krissy.

[13:16] Gertie Packbiers begins to work her thumbs deep into the right lateral shoulder muscles, creating waves of breaking tension.
During this relaxing appointment, we had an unexpected visitor. The security system that Gertie had enabled didn't quite work as expected and a visiting avatar approached our little cabin, and then walked on in. I must say, Gertie did her best to mitigate this situation.

Toward the end of this 45 minute massage, I found myself in an IM. Gertie was kind enough to assume that I was sooo relaxed that I fell asleep. :) After gently "waking me up", she showed me to the outdoor shower, where I took a post-massage shower to wash away the toxins that this amazing massage released. The Dorian mainly works by appointment only but they've been more than accomodating with rl/sl scheduling. Check them out soon!
