Burn On!

Have you checked out Burning Life yet? Please do. The builders have outdone themselves. Seriously. They've raised the bar of excellence toward creativity. And the best part is that I've experienced almost NO lag! And sim crossings have been so smooth sometimes I don't even know when I've crossed one. I love events like this because as much as I love seeing the creativity, I'm also a voyeur at heart. LOL! I admit, I like to people-watch... to see what they look at and where they go next. I literally followed a group of avatars who were all wearing the tag 'Art110' and were all recently rezzed. Nosy me, I spoke to one of them, who explained they were all participants in a college course. They were studying virtual art. This was their class. How cool is that?

This is part of Scarp Godenot's Man Versus Woman campsite. 749 prims, this is. (Scarp loves his prims) Like a strand of DNA, the prims wind their way to 150 meters (I'm guessing, I can't actually remember) with stations along the way that share notable quotes from famous men and women. Very tongue-in-cheek, and very Scarp. I think he's even using his photography for the textures. In RL he's a commercial artist and also sells some of his photography in SL.

Misprint Thursday never ever disappoints me. Even if she hadn't invited me to her shin-dig and even if I weren't already a fan, this build would have still made my short list. Candlemania has all the qualities that appeal to me: movement, interaction, and depth.

Oh gosh, don't shoot me. I forgot to get the artist's information for this one, I don't even remember his name! I loved this little campsite though, it reminded me of Mudshake. (Who knows, maybe it's Iso's alt?) Anyway... it's a good one and happens to be near Scarp.

This build is my FAVORITE, so far. Call me what you will, but I am enthralled by these creatures. They are whimsical, colorful, BIG and technically the primwork is tops. It may not be intellectually stimulating for some, but it's very fascinating. The artist, Yoa Ogee, used 1320 prims to make 'Friends Are Everywhere!'. This is just one of two campsites Yoa has at BL. I also plan to visit his shop in the very near future. I heart him.

Happy day!
