Reviewing the Reviewer: A Fashion Consumer's Perspective

I get compliments constantly inworld about the outfits that I wear. I never hesitate to decline the credit, because my outfits almost always come straight from a fashion review post. I often joke that Nina Becker and Co. are my personal stylists. Who wouldn't love a Rachel Zoe putting together your next outfit in SL? However, there are indeed times that I'm disappointed after I've spent 45 minutes porting all over the grid to piece an ensemble together. We all know that there are simply times when a piece looks better in pictures. Also frustrating are those times that I simply cannot find an item pictured. So I thought it might be fun to show off some of my winners and losers. Having said that, I'm going to start out with a winner.

I found this outfit on SL Fashion DIVA. See the original post here for the fashion details. (I'm not a fashion blogger, just a fashion consumer). I had just purchased the !O Feather Cardigan at the Designer's United event, which has a similar neckline, and already owned the Armidi Tweed pants and Bax boots, which also look similar, so no need to locate Surarin's choices there. What I really needed were the jacket and that scarf! I found the jacket right away at Coco, and I am pleased to say that I needed zilch.zero prim adjustments. Yay for that! The attachment points needed for this jacket include the stomach, chest, forearms and upper arms. Small warning: the chest sculpted attachment misaligns in the very smallest way to the shoulders, but it's only visible at certain camera angles and would be subject to your shape. Wearing the jacket gave me a warm-fuzzy that this was a winning purchase. Next up: The scarf. Switching over to shoparmidi.com, I located the scarf, in that beautiful lavendar. (I couldn't even talk myself into another color). The scarf also used the chest for an attachment point. Although I could have used Chest2 via the Emerald viewer, I decided to attach the scarf to my spine. My last deviation (other than the hair which I seldom include) is the clutch I found in the lucky chair at Bare Rose. How on earth does Bare Rose make such primtastic handbags for so cheap? Anyway. I think this outfit is super versatile - I already had similar pieces of it which gave me a head-start. It's also very wearable. My AO likes it, and that's important! If I were to rate this outfit on a How-Many-Days-I'll-Wear-It scale, it gets a full week. Gives me time to scope out my next look. :) Happy Day!
